Similar to how The Casting evolved into Heavy Rain. Kara was amazing. Heavy Rain looked great in many ways, but the facial animation was weird and the eyes were way off. Kara however, seems to have fixed both of these things. As well as stepped up the acting, making for a much more believable and emotional performance.
Only Quantic Dream can create something that emotionally epic. Now really wish it was a game. The fact that this is running, in real-time, on a PS3… Is mind blowing. Huh pretty interested, I kinda wish They would make the Kara game I would like to see how it goes. Just WOW!!!!!!!! I thought we were pals! I know its not the concept but please make into it please.
That was epic. You have me drooling and wondering what happens next. Please make Kara into something. Make a space opera or futuristic game or something. You are so cruel. I have not played heavy rain yet but why not turn this into a game?
Wow… That was amazing. You need to make this into a game. One of the better ones, too. Not that creepy one that makes everyone uncomfortable during the holidays. I know this is just a tech demo and not a game, but this would be perfect material for one.
I look forward to seeing what you will be doing with this new graphics engine, because this looks nothing short of stunning. WOW… that was amazing. Just a few minutes with Kara and the emotional attachment was there.
Amazing visuals and brilliant story telling… make it happen Quantic Dream!!! Hella nice engine, for just a tech demo thats one of the most impressive I have ever seen, and even adding a emotional element to it…simply outstanding.
Very nice tech demo. It looks straight out of the Outer Limits or Twilight Zone. This sounds like good story that could make an amazing game. It is promising to see the mainstream gaming industry tackling these timeless questions too. I will be supporting their next commercial endeavor with my hard earned money. Philosophy and fun are not mutually exclusive! The fine folks at Quantic Dream are geniuses and I have no doubt their next project will be nothing short of brilliant.
PS3 FTW!!! Creepy, scary, disturbing, troubling. You, Quantic Dream, are a big tease, shame on you! Thanks, Sid, for posting this. I will look forward to the blogcast, on my Vita, more than usual. Heavy Rain Was Epiiccc!!.. This was truly impressive. Sony, Give Quantic Dream the opportunity to make a full length feature film of this. This is so needed. Newer comments. Surfaced March 7, at pm PST. That would be enough for me. It shows a sorcerer and his goblin henchmen attempting to cast a dark spell, only for the sorcerer to flub his lines. It's then revealed that the pair are on a game development motion capture stage. The whole thing becomes a bit meta as the off-camera director later calls for programmers to fix a bug that causes thousands of copies of the goblin sidekick to appear.
Shortly after, the actor playing the sorcerer calls his agent, remarking that he thinks the "video game people" seem bizarre and wonders if he can back out of his contract.
It will be focused around narrative interactivity and feature a non-linear storyline written by Cage. Quantic Dream is allegedly having issues hiring for the project, as well as for Star Wars: Eclipse, which Henderson previously reported on.
That is likely due in part because of various reports in recent years regarding an allegedly toxic work environment at the Paris-based studio, something that the developer has denied. Quantic Dream sued several French publications and lost following reports in the press that the company circulated degrading photoshopped images of employees that were offensive in nature, some of which had even been altered to include Nazi-imagery. Other complaints included sexual misconduct at work-related events and racist remarks.
While previous Quantic Dream games like Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human have often been PlayStation exclusives, it was announced in that the studio wanted to become a multi-platform developer. Quantic Dream recently opened a second office in Montreal.
