Trust me it will happen. Always anchor your hand against the car before pressing in with the dremel, so you don't lose control. Be patient!!!! Go slowly and remember to anchor. The guide here says mm, but I'm pretty sure it's actually mm. Look at the picture, it lines up with the top of the wheel well. Just make sure yours lines up with the top of the well too.
Don't force the light in there or you'll bend the fender. Just be patient and widen the hole. The car paint might peel so watch out for it and remove any tape around the hole slowly.

I think I found the limit of brightness when measured on a scale of comfort. I added double the LEDs to the two stock dome lights and the additional one in the cargo area. The two 48 SMT boards are just super glued together and the wires of one soldered to the other.

I haven't read back through this whole thread, so you may have already done this, but have you done any "courtesy lighting" in the footwells? Most cars used to have these actually, they were often times options - remember when those used to be available individually?
